There has been a pub on this site in Fleet Street since 1538.Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese is a Grade II listed public House at 145 Fleet Street. It was rebuilt shortly after the Great Fire of London in 1666. The pub is known for its literary associations, with its regular patrons having included Charles Dickens, G.K.Chesterton and MarkTwain.
